Tonight I went with the wife and in-laws up to the Quest Arena to watch the girls volleyball team advance to the Final Four of the national volleyball tournament. It was pretty cool because it was the largest crowd to ever attend an NCAA volleyball game (15,119 people). It's hard to beat hot chicks in skin tight outfits and a #1 sports team. As you've read (if you care) the ladies swept the Gators in 3 matches. By the middle of the third match the Gators had either given up or just ran out of steam. The first match was close with the Gators leading most of it. By the third match they didn't put up much of a fight. The game was fun to watch (which is good because the concessions sucked). The seats were too small but other than that the Quest center was pretty cool. The huge score board was pretty nice (score counters plus 8 30' color screens displaying both televised game play and continuous stats). I kinda felt sorry for the teams that traveled to Nebraska to play in the tournament since it was like playing home games for Nebraska when it should have been a neutral site. On the other hand these teams got to play in front of crowds 4x larger than anywhere else.
Did I mention, hot, tall, athletic chicks? In spandex shorts? :)
"Spandex is a privilege, not a right" :) - Name the movie? . . . and the line directly proceeding it?
